Airlines nationwide have canceled more than 2,000 flights and that's having a trickle-down affect at the local airport.
Since this morning Northwest Florida Beaches International Airport says Delta has cancelled some of its flights.
Beaches airport officials have been telling passengers to check with their airline to confirm flight status.
"We have the ability to store airplanes. We have a lot of ramp we can put planes on. So we put planes there so the airlines can start and not have to worry about getting people out and get people to the destinations," said parker McClellan, ECP Director.
"She rebooked to Atlanta and she got the last flight. She should be here at 5:31. They were delayed in Atlanta but all the other flights are canceled," said George Wambach, passengers' relative.
All flights are canceled for tonight.
