Although slowly, Florida's unemployment numbers continue to improve.
State labor officials say the unemployment rate dipped to 8 percent in December, an improvement of one-tenth of a percentage point from November's 8.1 percent figure.
The rate is now the lowest its been in just over 4 years.
Bay County’s December unemployment increased two tenths of a percent from November. Bay has the highest jobless rate in the region. Walton has the lowest at 5.7 %
