Florida Secretary of State Visits Bay County

PANAMA CITY - Secretary of State Ken Detzner began his tour of five supervisor of elections offices across the state here in Bay County Thursday.

At a round table discussion, Detzner spoke with local officials like Supervisor of Elections Mark Andersen and the public.

He's talking with them about a proposed way to reduce the number of ineligible voters. That includes using the Department of Homeland Security's Systematic Alien Verification for Entitlements database as another way to check voter eligibility.

Other stops along the tour include Orlando, Sarasota, and Fort Lauderdale.
