Former Crestview Police Officer Arrested for Fabricating Evidence

Agents with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement’s Pensacola Regional Operations Center have arrested Timothy William White Jr., 26, of Niceville, Fla., for one count of tampering with or fabricating evidence. White is a former Crestview police officer.

Pursuant to another investigation, which was being conducted by FDLE and the State Attorney’s Office for the 1st Judicial Circuit, at the Crestview Police Department agents were given information that, in May 2010, White allegedly falsified information on a search warrant application.

Agents developed probable cause that White had allegedly taken marijuana from a Special Weapons and Tactics locker, and used this marijuana to establish probable cause for a residential search warrant.

White falsely claimed that the marijuana he allegedly took from the SWAT locker came from the trash at 255 Oakview Place, Crestview, Fla. White was able to secure the search warrant, but the warrant was not executed.

White was booked into the Okaloosa County Jail.
