Free Flu Shots For Vets

The Department of Veterans Affairs Gulf Coast wants to make sure veterans know they can get a free flu shot.

According to the Centers For Disease Control and Prevention, the flu season is off to its earliest start since 2003-2004. The hardest hit area so far is the Southeast.

Veterans can get a free flu shot by contacting their Patient Aligned Care Team. Veterans who have not yet enrolled to receive VA health care should bring their DD Form 214, Certificate of Release or Discharge from Active Duty, or other proof of honorable military service to the nearest VA Gulf Coast medical facility to enroll.
