PANAMA CITY, FL-- The Florida Department of Health in Bay County is recognizing World Hepatitis Day by offering a free screening.
On Monday, you can go to their office on 11 Street from ten to two for free screenings, information and give aways. According to the Center of Disease Control, Hepatitis is especially common among baby boomers.
Seventy five percent of adults with the disease are from that generation. The Department of Health said everyone who is at risk for Hepatitis C is encouraged to get tested.
Monday's screening is a simple mouth swab. If you can't make it today, you can call the Florida Department of Health in Bay County to schedule an appointment at (850) 872- 4455.
