Front Beach Accident Causes Traffic Delays and Diversions

PANAMA CITY BEACH-- Florida High Patrol officials are investigating a traffic crash that sent two people to the hospital earlier this afternoon and caused traffic to be diverted for about an hour on Front Beach Road.

Bay County Sheriff's Officials and EMS responded to a crash Saturday on Laurie Avenue and Front Beach Road a little before 3 p.m.

According to Sheriff officials, a black Honda SUV was traveling eastbound, and a maroon Lincoln Sedan was traveling westbound on Front Beach Road when the two cars collided.

Bay County Sheriff's deputies could not release how many people were in the cars at the time of the accident.

Officials say the two people taken to the hospital have several broken bones.

FHP officials are now investigating the cause of the crash.
