PANAMA CITY - The 45th Spring Festival of the Arts kicked off early Saturday morning. It's an annual fundraiser for the Visual Arts Center of Northwest Florida took place in McKenzie Park.
The visual arts center is located in Downtown Panama City and is a cultural organization. The event supports funding for scholarships for their summer youth art program.
Organizers say this year they have about 50 booths and about 3,000 people who are estimated to pass by this weekend.
"The vision of the arts center is to grow and foster the arts in our community and this is good way to go and cultivating those arts and create awareness in Bay County and the seven counties of the surrounding visual arts the center serves," said Amanda Barrow of the Visual Arts Center of Northwest Florida.
There is live musicians, dancing, creative activities and local artists. The three day event ends Sunday at 4 P.M.
