Florida Gov. Rick Scott was in Orlando on Friday, and along with Universal Orlando made a major jobs announcement.
Scott announced that the Harry Potter expansion and other projects including the new Cabana Bay Beach Resort and the City Walk expansion will bring nearly 3,500 new jobs to central Florida.
It was a great chance to get a sneak peak at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter Diagon Alley, which is still under construction.
Scott is running for re-election against former Governor Charlie Crist, the Republican turned Democrat.
Scott says tourism in Florida is up 15%.
The Wizarding World of Harry Potter Diagon Alley is set to open sometime this summer.
