Gov. Scott also signed a bill putting further restrictions on abortions.
Abortions are already prohibited after 24 weeks of pregnancy.
This new law will make an abortion illegal if a doctor decides a woman's fetus could survive outside the womb.
The National Organization for Women has opposed the legislation since it was proposed.
"The Governor and most of the leadership in the legislature are anti-woman, they don't trust women to make our own decisions when it comes to our reproductive health," said Barbara DeVane, National Organization for Women.
The new law goes into effect July 1st.
