Think global, grow local. That's the idea behind a new health initiative taught at Gulf Coast State College.
An organization called, Greenthumb Calboys, explained the program to Bay County's Resource Management Association during a seminar Tuesday night at college.
Members suggested ways local restaurant owners could incorporate growing their own fruits and vegetables for their everyday menu's.
Tuesday night's presentation was part of the Resource Management Association's monthly meetings to promote sustainable living.
Greenthumb Calboys also travels to local schools to talk to kids about eating healthier.
