A search warrant was served as the result of a joint investigation conducted by investigators from the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office, the Marianna Police Department, and the Florida Department of Law Enforcement regarding several occurrences of local businesses and banking institutions receiving counterfeit bank notes.
Numerous items were collected during the search that gave investigators probable cause to believe that the sole occupant of the residence was engaged in the commission of criminal acts in respect to the production of counterfeit bank notes, including approximately $5500.00 in counterfeit bank notes.
The occupant was identified as Brian H. Woods.
Woods was arrested on an existing arrest warrant for the charge of dealing in stolen property. Additionally, Woods was charged with possession of counterfeit bank notes, forging bank bills, possession of a controlled substance with the intent to sell and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
Woods was transported to the Jackson County Correctional Facility.
