Gulf Beach Baptist Church Gives Backpacks and Breakfast

PANAMA CITY BEACH-- The beach school community got a little help from their friends at Gulf Beach Baptist Church in the form of an appreciation breakfast.

For the past 14 years, Gulf Beach Baptist Church has answered the needs of the five beach schools.

Besides preparing and serving breakfast to the returning teachers, they also presented the schools with backpacks full of school supplies.

This year they managed to gather enough supplies to fill 81 backpacks to be distributed to the five schools.

"We don't have a number of people that are told to us that actually have the need, we just know there is a need. So we do all we can we've yet to have a year where they didn't take every single backpack and give it to a child," Dr. Gregory George, Pastor at Gulf Beach Baptist Church said.

The contents of the backpacks are age appropriate for elementary, middle and high school ages.
