New details coming out Wednesday on the biggest concert event in our area. Promoters for the 2nd annual Pepsi Gulf Coast Jam released the entire concert line-up for the 3 day festival, during a news conference at 92-5 WPAP, and simulcast over a series of radio stations across the southeast.
Executive producer, Rendy Lovelady announced the nightly headliners Carrie Underwood, Dierks Bentley and Blake Shelton several months ago. Now we know the rest of the acts.
Joining Underwood Friday night will be Randy Houser, and Love-and-Theft. John Michael Montgomery will headline the day stage. Big and Rich and Lonestar are among the openers for Dierks Bentley at the Frank Brown Park Stage Saturday night. Trick Pony will headline the day stage. Cassadee Pope and Neal McCoy are among the acts opening for Blake Shelton on Sunday night.
Lovelady says his staff surveyed about 3,000 fans who attended last year's Gulf Coast Jam to find out who they wanted to see this year.
13,000 people attended last year's event. They've expecting more than 20,000 this year.
There are several other changes. This year's Pepsi Gulf Coast Jam is Friday, Saturday and Sunday on labor day weekend giving visitors Monday to drive home. This year there is only one stage instead of 3; that stage will be located at the Bay County Pier.
