Gulf County- Some Gulf County Commissioners are hoping to remove the current director of the Gulf County Health Department.
They say she's made some controversial moves.

State health department officials selected Marsha Lindeman for the Gulf County's health department director's job in 2010.

She replaced Doug Kent after he took over the Bay County Health Department.

After learning of a long-time employee's termination, some commissioners say, they now say they want Lindeman out.

"Three of the commissioners did vote in the affirmative to send a letter of termination for the health department director to the Department of Health in Tallahassee," said Bill Williams.

Williams, was the only commissioner to vote against the letter.

The State Surgeon General has the sole authority to make personnel decisions.
State Department of Health officials in Tallahassee say they have complete confidence in Lindeman's leadership.
Lindeman was not available for comment.
