Hathaway Bridge Goes Blue for Autism Awareness Day

PANAMA CITY - Wednesday is world Autism Awareness Day and there will be a spectacular local observance.

Each year Gulf Coast School for Autism encourages locals to line the Hathaway Bridge and hold blue glow sticks.

This year the observance will include a special guest.

A local flyboarder decked out in a blue L.E.D. suit will fly over the water to raise awareness for autism while participants line the bridge.

The event is at 6:00 Wednesday night beginning on the east end of the Hathaway Bridge.
