Hathaway Bridge Repairs Complete

D-O-T crews will remove traffic barriers and restripe traffic lanes beginning at 10 p.m. tonight, Wednesday, March 13.

Lanes on the span were restricted to allow repairs to a mid-span closure joint. All work has been performed under the warranty that was provided as part of the original construction contract.

Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) engineers have inspected the bridge and performed tests to verify that the bridge is structurally sound. FDOT`s number one priority is safety, therefore the department will continue to monitor the bridge throughout the project.

Construction activities are weather dependent and may be delayed or re-scheduled in the event of inclement weather.
