Circuit Judge Dedee Costello sentenced Duong Thanh Ho to 20 years in prison Monday for attempting to rob a Callaway woman in her home.
Assistant State Attorney Jennifer Hawkins showed jurors during trial on Jan. 8 that Ho, 22, of 3115 E. Eighth St., forced his way into the home of Reinagee Moculski the night of Sept. 19, 2011.
He held a knife to Moculski’s throat and demanded money, but Moculski was able to escape and ran from the house screaming for help.
Ho was convicted as charged of burglary of an occupied dwelling with a battery or assault while armed.
