Hydrocodone Busts in Okaloosa and Santa Rosa Counties

Members of Okaloosa County's Drug Task Force wrapped up a six-month investigation this week that began with anonymous tips.

Authorities arrested a total of seven suspects on drug trafficking charges.

In January, someone called crimestoppers reporting that a head nurse at a Ft. Walton beach doctor's office was involved with trafficking prescription narcotic medications.

Investigators claim Wendy Cagle was calling-in fake prscriptions for hydrocodone to area pharmacies, under the names of her friends.

All of the suspects are from Okaloosa or Santa Rosa Counties.

Task force members say they expect to make at least five more arrests in this case.
