Jackson County residents will soon have the opportunity to vote on whether continuing half cent sales tax that has been in effect for the past 10 years for another 10 years.
District Officials want to replace Golson and Riverside Elementary, as well as Marianna Middle School with a $50 million K-8 facility.
A Rural Facilities grant would pay for all but $8 million.
Officials want to continue the half cent sales tax for another 10 years.
Ballots will be mailed out by April 16th and are due back, stamped and in the mail or delivered by hand, by May 6th at 7:00 p.m.
