PANAMA CITY, FL-- The group that formed in response to half a dozen murders this summer is inviting you to join their fight against local violence.
The Lead Coalition gathered on Tuesday at the AD Harris Learning Village with local law enforcement, community leaders and concerned citizens. Since the team took to the streets three weeks ago, tips to crimestoppers have doubled.
Organizers said they still face challenges and need to do more. Janice Lucas said, "If you see something say something, if you know something do something. Silence kills and we no longer can no longer afford to be silent in this community."
The coalition meets again on August 25 at the Panama City Police Department.
