The crew on a local charter boat could be facing some problems for allegedly catching more fish than allowed by law.
The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation commission officials say they've issued a citation for activities aboard the Florida Queen.
They say the party boat came back to the Captain Anderson's Marina Thursday with far more red snapper than the law allows.
Authorities say the deck hands had hidden extra snapper in coolers.
Witnesses say wildlife officers allowed the 50-customers to take 2-snapper each, then seized the rest and donated them to charity.
Officials say the Florida Queen's owner is Ron Hall. Bobo Hobbs was reportedly the Captain at the time.
Workers at Captain Anderson's Marina told us Hobbs is very respected, and accused the deckhands of the actions that led to the alleged violations.
A judge will determine who will bear the brunt of the punishment, which is a possible 500-dollar fine for each violation and up to 60 days in jail.
When contacted for comment, Hall was unavailable.
