Local Girl Scouts held a banquet at the Eleanor W. Lewis Service Center to honor two young women who were presented with the Gold Award, Sunday.
Gold status is the highest honor you can achieve in the Girl Scouting program.
To achieve this status, a Girl Scout must be in high school, and must organize and complete a large service project within the community.
The winners, Genevieve Smith and Callie Mills, both got involved with the scouts at a young age.
The girls put in hard work into their service projects around Bay County and were excited to finally be able to accept their awards.
Multiple young women also received silver awards, which is a similar honor for a younger age group.
