Corelogic released new data showing home prices in the local market rose by 6-and-a-half percent in August compared to this same time last year. And prices increased by a little more than a half a percent from July to August.
Bay Bounty's numbers were better than the national figures, which saw a 4-point-6 percent increase year-to-year, and point-3 percent from July to August.
Corelogic says it's research shows national home prices are expected to continue rising in September.
