The Bay County Sheriff’s Office has arrested five suspects in connection to the murder of 80 year old Raymond Gsell. Gsell’s body was found Saturday morning in a chest type freezer at his home at 3905 W. 27th Court, in the Bayview Heights section of Panama City.
Investigators in the BCSO Criminal Investigations Division arrested Ashley Nicole Knowles, 23, of 3706 W. 22nd Street, Panama City, on a charge of Accessory After the Fact Open Count of Murder; Judy Lynn Gsell, 47, of 3905 W. 27th Court, Panama City, on a charge of Murder; Dawn Ruthann Ross, 26, of 3706 W. 22nd Street, Panama City, on a charge of Murder.
Also arrested were James Timothy Wilson, 51, of 3706 W. 22nd Street, Panama City on a charge of Accessory After the Fact to Murder.
BCSO Warrants deputies also located the fifth suspect Dale Emmett Hill, 47, at a trailer located at June Avenue and 15th Street in Panama City. Hill was taken into custody without incident and was charged with Accessory After the Fact to Murder.
Investigators believe that Friday morning around 4 a. m. Judy Gsell argued with the victim, her husband, Raymond Gsell about money to purchase illegal narcotics.
When Raymond refused, Judy Gsell and Dawn Ross allegedly strangled him for the cash in his pocket. After his death, it is believed the two continued to party into the morning.
Knowles and Wilson are charged with Accessory to Murder because of their alleged attempt to help dispose of the body in the freezer..
