Local Officials Frustrated About Internet Cafe Debate
Marianna- It appears legislators in Tallahassee can't make a decision when it comes to the legality of internet cafes. Many had hoped they would come up with something, but that may not happen.

Marianna- The fate of so-called internet cafes in the state of Florida is still unknown. That, despite a promise by many lawmakers to come up with a clear decision this legislative session.
"I don't see how anybody could say there's any skill in stopping the spinning of that screen as if it were a wheel," said Jackson County Sheriff Lou Roberts.
Roberts and his department shut down several of the operations in the area over the summer.
Prior to that, State Attorney General Pam Bondi and Jackson County's Grand Jury both issued opinions calling the machines illegal.
He's now disappointed to hear a decision from Tallahassee may not come anytime soon.
"We were hoping and anticipating that maybe we would have some type of guidance or a map to go by," said Roberts.
Marianna City Commissioner Paul Donofro shared in the frustration.
"It's disappointing for sure," said Donofro.
He and other commissioners decided not to vote on an ordinance this summer that would've banned the businesses within city limits, saying it should be up to the state. But despite hearing that might be tabled until next session, Donofro still thinks it's something too big for him to decide.
"This is an issue I think we really need to have some consistency from county to county and from municipality to municipality," said Donofro.
The owners at Kindel Lanes Bowling Alley, which used to house one of the internet cafes in the area, refused to talk to News Channel 7 Friday about the issue.
