The countdown has begun for the biggest game of the year.
Florida State versus auburn in Monday night's BCS national championship game.
And that means big business for local restaurants.
“Rain or shine, they'll be here,” said Brandy Mayfield, Auburn Fan.
In fact, most businesses are already pregaming.
“Local Panama City chapter of the booster club for Florida State here. About 150-200 people will end up showing for it,” said Brian Hammerle, Sharky’s Restaurant Manager.
At sharky's restaurant the flags have been placed and the t-v's are ready to go.
“And they just had a great season so the energy here should be electric,” said Hammerle.
And for those lucky enough to score tickets to the game, they’re preparing for an epic weekend.
“Florida state got 20-thousand tickets and auburn got 20-thousand tickets, and I know that we had requests just from just booster for 34-thousand… so its going to be wild and crazy,” said Phillip Griffits, Former Mayor of Panama City Beach.
"We have like 16-hundred going out on charter airlines leaving Saturday. There are a lot of people from Panama City going. We’re going over and bringing back a national championship,” said Griffits.
For griffitts, this is more than just a football game.
“We'll I went to troy university but I have always followed Florida state and both my sons and my money went to Florida state,” said Griffiths.
