PANAMA CITY BEACH -- The Lucky Puppy organization is raising money for some of their services.
The third annual Lucky Puppy "Spay-ghetti" fundraiser at Pineapple Willy's this morning specifically raises money for spaying and neutering dogs.
For $10 guests sampled a dozen different spaghetti recipes-- and voted on their favorite. There was also a raffle drawing and a live auction.
In the restaurant parking lot adorable dogs were up for adoption for just $200.
Lucky Puppy Rescue Director Teri Mattson said, "We have a goal for this year to do a spay a day, so we'd like to do 365 spays this year. So we really need to go today. Last year, i think we were in the neighborhood of $6,000 so that was wonderful. And it rained last year so this year we got sunshine so maybe we'll do even better."
Lucky Puppy organizers say the last Tuesday of every month is worldwide Spay Day. It costs anywhere from $53 to $63 dollars to spay or neuter a dog.
