Lynn Haven Burglary Suspect Arrested

LYNN HAVEN - Lynn Haven police arrested a man overnight, who they say is responsible for at least two burglaries, maybe more.

Officers say they caught 21 year old Stephen Malcolm Owens-Lewis as he was in the act of burglarizing the Save-a-lot food store on Highway 77 about 4:30 Friday morning.

That store is right across the street from city hall and the police administrative offices. Investigators say Owens-Lewis also tried to break into Cher's Hallmark store in the Publix shopping center on Highway 77 a few hours earlier.

They say he's also suspected in several other break-ins that all happened on the same night. Besides burglary and attempted burglary, Owens-Lewis is also charged with possession of controlled substance.
