Lynn Haven City Commissioners Postpone Vote on New City Manager

LYNN HAVEN -- Lynn Haven city commissioners have decided to wait a little longer to select a new city manager.

The commission was supposed to choose one of the five finalists during Tuesday afternoon's commission meeting.
But they say they need more time to discuss the manager's salary so they've postponed the vote.

Mayor Walter Kelley said, "Well I thought we were gonna have a decision today and I want to wait until after the workshop Monday because I was hoping we would finish it up today but we have some more work to do and were gonna do it and then we'll move forward ."

That workshop will take place Monday afternoon at 3:00. The commission chose the five finalists from 14-applicants.

EitherTed Lakey, William Whitson, Christopher Brooks, Joel Schubert, or Jacqueline Crum will replace long-time city manager John Lynch, who died late last year after a long battle with cancer.
