Lynn Haven Fire Department Improves City's Fire Insurance Rating

Later this year, Lynn Haven property owners just may get a very welcome surprise in their insurance bill. Their premium rate may be going down.

The Insurance Services Organization has raised the Public Protection Classification Rating for the Fire Department to a three. Just to put that in perspective, out of 765 fire departments in Florida, only 73 are rated as class three. Only 39 are rated higher than a three.

Communities are rated from one through ten with one being the best.

The amount of reduction will depend partly on which insurance company a Lynn Haven homeowner is using.
