Lynn Haven- Lynn Haven officials say the Lynn Haven block party brought more than more than 1,000 people down Florida avenue off 7th street.
The event put on largely to help the community come together and celebrate all Lynn Haven has to offer.
It focused on showcasing talents and different business booths.
The party was hosted by the city of Lynn Haven and the Lynn Haven Historical Society.
The historical society is trying to save the McMullin Library and they have collected hundreds of signatures at the event to present to the city.
"We would like to restore it for heritage, welcome center, and for people to come and find out the history of Lynn Haven. And we like the old things here in Lynn Haven and we would like to keep the old library," said Libby Tunnell, Lynn Haven Heritage Group.
"We bring folks to the part of town that don't normally come to Lynn Haven for fun events. So we are just introducing Lynn haven has to offer," said Tracy Jones, Lynn Haven Special Events.
The block party had activities for children of all ages.
Lynn haven officials even got a little taste of fun by participating at the dunk tank.
Lynn haven officials say this event brought the community together and they hope to have one next year too.
