PANAMA CITY BEACH- The robbery took place a little after 11:00 Wednesday morning at the party shack on front beach road.

Marc Barnes was working next door and saw everything.

"The girl came out screaming help me, so I looked out the window and I saw a guy in a ski mask and a black jacket running this direction,” said Marc Barnes, Beachside Resorts employee.

Beach police say the man under the mask is 23-year Nikolas Nicolaevitschi.

They say he entered the store, put on the mask, and then pulled a gun to of his backpack.

The clerk handed the robber the cash, but then he demanded her cell phone and the business phone.

Instead she ran outside, with the robber right behind her.

"She ran out to get his tag number and him tazed her,” said Barnes.

Police say the robber tazed the woman a number of times, took her phone, and then fled the scene in a car.

Barnes followed, losing the suspect near the Shores of Panama Resort.

But by then, police were moving-in.

"They proceeded up to the garage and we followed him up there and they had a vehicle that they had blocked in,” said Walter Brown, Shores of Panama employee.

Police arrested Nicolaevitschi on the third floor of the garage.

Employees are surprised this happened.

"This area is relatively safe, I’ve worked here for about two years, but I’ve never seen anything like this happen before,” said Brown.

Nicolaevitschi is charged two counts of armed robbery and tampering with a victim.
