JACKSON COUNTY-- A Jackson County man was arrested Saturday night at a bowling alley for interfering with child custody.
Sheriff's Deputies had received a call that a 15-year-old girl had ran away from a fireworks display in a neighboring county and was seen at the bowling alley.
When deputies arrived on scene, they found the 15-year old juvenile, with 18-year-old Joseph Mejia.
During the investigation, officers found that Mejia had taken the girl from the fireworks show without consent of a parent.
Officers then found out that Mejia and the 15-year-old had been in an ongoing relationship, even though Mejia had been warned multiple times to stay away.
Mejia was arrested and taken to the Jackson County jail.
