Man Dead After Being Shocked While Working

A Gulf County man has died after the fork lift he was driving became entangled in power lines.

GULF COUNTY-- A Gulf County man has died after the fork lift he was driving became entangled in power lines.

Fifty-nine year old Richard Dewayne Lancaster was working on Grouper Avenue in Highland View Friday morning when the accident happened.

A witness called 911 saying Lancaster was "shocked" by electricity.

Emergency workers found Lancaster unconscious inside the fork lift.

Lancaster was taken to Sacred Heart Hospital on the Gulf where he was later pronounced dead.

Gulf County Sheriff's Deputies are investigating the incident.

An autopsy is being conducted.
