Authorities say Charles Cannon, forced her back into bed, then made her give him cash from her purse and left.
When questioned by police, cannon admitted going into the woman's house.
He is a registered sex offender.
Cannon was found guilty as charged of burglary with an assault, robbery, and false imprisonment.
He faces up to life in prison.
