On Monday, the Houston County Sheriff’s Office arrested Calvin Rhynes on active warrants Houston County, Alabama and Jackson County, Florida.

The warrants stem from an ongoing investigation by both counties’ drug task force involving Rhynes selling substantial amounts of crack cocaine.

During the investigation, it was determined that Rhynes has been a primary supplier of the drug in Campbellton, Jacob, and Graceville, Florida as well as communities in southern Houston County, Alabama.

Rhynes is charged in Houston County with the sale of a controlled substance, crack cocaine, and in Jackson County with three separate courts of the same charge.

Rhnyes is currently being housed in the Houston County Jail while awaiting his court appearance in Alabama.

Upon conclusion of that case, Rhnyes will then be extradited to Jackson County.
