Beach Clean Up Crew Member Killed

A member of one of the Panama City Beach clean-up crews died Monday night after a freak accident involving one of the beach tractors.

It happened about 7:10 PM on the beach behind the Twin Palms Condominiums in the Long Beach Resort area off Front Beach Road.

Panama City Beach police say 25 year old Sean Philbrook fell between the tractor and a trailer that was full of trash. Apparently the wheels of the trailer ran over Philbrook.

Paramedics were taking him to Bay Medical Center, but he reportedly died on the way.

Philbrook was from Panama City Beach and apparently worked for the private contractor hired by the city.

Beach police are investigating the incident and should have more details tomorrow.
