Early Wednesday morning, the Marianna Police Department received a call to Orange Street in the Graham Street area in reference to an armed robbery. Officers met with the victims and were able to get a description of the people involved: two black females and two black males.
Officers were able to locate the two black females not named because of age.
After talking with several witnesses and the two females, officers were able to identify the black males. One identified as Donald Sparks Jr. and another not named because of his age.
An arrest warrant was obtained for Sparks and officers located him later in the afternoon. Sparks fled on sight and after a brief foot chase; he was taken into custody and taken to Jackson County Correctional Facility.
Sparks had another active warrant for possession with intent to distribute narcotics and resisting officer without violence.
