Marianna Police Searching for Man Who Robbed Two Hotels

On Wednesday at approximately 12:30 a.m., a black male entered the Days Inn Motel on Highway 71 in Marianna. The subject produced a knife and told the clerk to give him the money. The clerk gave the subject an undisclosed amount of money. The subject then forced the clerk into a utility closet. The subject left the motel running north on foot.

ACI and JCI canine units responded. It appears the subject may have left in a vehicle.

The subject was described as a black male approximately five foot three inches to five foot six inches, wearing a blue hoodie, a white shirt, and gray jogging pants.

Then at approximately 12:49 a. m., the same subject entered America’s Best Value Inn Motel on Highway 71. He approached the clerk, produced a knife, and demanded the money. The subject took an undisclosed amount of money from the register. The subject then forced the clerk in a closet and exited the motel.
