The final results are in the for the Destin City Council elections.

A recount in Crestview Saturday declared Cyron Marler the official winner of the fourth seat on the Destin City Council.

Marler beat out incumbent Tom Weidenhamer by thirty votes. Weidenhamer was elected to the council in 2006 and Marler served from 2000 to 2008 when he reached his maximum term limit.

Both candidates were at the Okaloosa County Supervisor of Elections office for the recount which took about three hours.

There was a recount because the candidates votes were separated by only .33%.
