Miramar Beach- Former Arkansas Governor, now South Walton resident, Mike Huckabee didn't hold back during NewsChannel 7's interview with him Thursday night. The fiery criticism started with the controversial National Healthcare Reform Act.
"All this talk about seniors are going to be fine. How are they going to be fine when you cut that much, almost three quarters of a trillion dollars out of the medicare budget? questioned Huckabee.
He said it's not just the bill itself he doesn't agree with, but also how it made it to the president's desk.
"Nancy Pelosi said,'We'll know what's in the bill after we pass the bill.' That's like saying I'll know what I had for lunch when I pass it," Huckabee said.
The 2008 Republican presidential candidate also attacked the Obama Administration on its handling of the recent deadly attack of the U.S. Consulate in Libya.
"For two weeks, even though our intelligence community knew full-well it was a planned attack, they continued to trot out every day telling us it was the result of some ridiculous YouTube video," said Huckabee.
And after the much-anticipated presidential debate between Obama and Mitt Romney Wednesday night, it was no surprise who Huckabee chose as the round one winner.
"The smirking and the looking away of Barack Obama as if he really wished he could be anywhere but there. I think even the Obama supporters have had to acknowledge that it was Obama's worst night and it was Mitt Romney's best night," Huckabee said.
Obama and Romney face off in another debate on October 16th. Then their final meeting before the November election is October 22.
