BAY COUNTY - Bay County Sheriff's investigators are trying to gather new leads on a teen who disappeared a year ago Saturday. Emily Paul was last seen in the Edwards Road area of Southport.

When Emily didn't return, billboards like were put up describing her as 4'10" tall, 100 pounds, with blue eyes and brown hair.

Deputies followed leads all over the country with some pointing investigators to other countries like Canada and Spain for Emily, but none led to a break in the case.

Investigators say they've retraced their steps, but have run into dead ends.

"We've re-interviewed the friends several times, her closest friends and at this point, nobody has given us any information to suggest they know where she is," said Investigator Albert Willis of the Bay County Sheriff's Office.

Sheriff's deputies say they don't suspect any foul play since Paul took a suitcase with her and left a note. She never said where she was going.

Investigators confirmed through a handwriting analyst that Paul left the note saying she was running away.
