PANAMA CITY BEACH - A Panama City holiday tradition welcomed a fiery new addition Sunday morning.
The Panama City Beach Police Department's annual Cops and Kids Toy Run is in its 19th year.
The event collects holiday gifts that will be distributed to families in need this Christmas.
About a 100 motorcyclists gave gifts and cash donations to the cause.
Event volunteer, Dan Selders said, "It's just something a lot of the bikers do on the beach. We do a lot of charity runs for different things this is one we've been doing since we started."
This year a fire engine was added to the parade and a few lucky families took a ride all across Panama City Beach.
Parents say it's important to teach children about the giving back to the community.
"Usually when they start loading up the van she'll help them put toys in the van. I think it's good for them to see charity and be part of it," Selders said.
More than 300 toys were collected Sunday.
The gifts will be given to low-income families December.
