Thursday afternoon the latest addition to the FSU Early Childhood Autism Program program was established. The Camille Butchikas ECAP Clinic was named in honor of the generous donations from the George A. Butchikas Autism Foundation. The foundation has given money to provide scholarships for low income families with autistic children as well as giving money to help furnish and open the new clinic.
The new clinic will be used to provide in clinic therapy making FSU PC the only ECAP program that has in-house and in clinic therapy offered in the Panhandle.
According to officials with the ECAP program, the ability to do therapy in clinic will allow them to serve more families as well as provide a controlled environment where clients will not be distracted by other things going on around them.
