It is an event many resorts and hotels plan for months.
Making sure they have great activities for people to bring in the new year.
This year they expect to see just as many as last year.
"We typically see several thousand,” said Maria Chung, spokesperson for the Sandestin Resort.
From live music at the village of Baytowne Wharf.
"They will actually be performing a wide range of music,” said Chung. “From Elton John, some 80's and 90's music. So something for everyone of all age groups that will be here to celebrate.”
To multiple fire work shows at the HarborWalk Village
"We do it at 8 p.m. and at midnight,” said Rusty Morinelli, Manager at Harry T’s Lighthouse at HarborWalk Village. “That helps the kids that need to get home early before all the craziness starts. So that wave comes in and then you have the adult play ground that comes out."
And of course the ball drop at midnight.
"The ball drop is amazing,” said Morinelli. “I don't think anyone else in the area does that."
Plus, plenty of food and drinks for adults and families to enjoy.
And all the hard work, to help people bring in 2014.
"We do encourage people to stay the night if they are out partying,” said Chung. “We do have plenty of accommodations and you are just a walk away from when you are done celebrating."
Most of the events at the Village of Baytowne Wharf and HarborWalk Village will begin around 8 p.m.
There are also celebrations scheduled for 30A in South Walton.
