The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office, with the assistance of the State
Attorney’s Office, is continuing its investigation into a shooting death that took place around two a.m. Sunday morning at a home in Dorcas.

Investigators say the victim, 56-year old Thomas “Gerry” Rangeley of

Deputies called to the scene at 5485 County Road 393 say they found Rangeley inside the trailer with a gunshot wound to the chest. He later died at North Okaloosa Medical Center in Crestview.

Investigators say Rangely had been shot once with a .22 caliber rifle by 51-year old Burton Terry Todd of that address.
