Online registration for Bay District Schools may not be going as well as officials would like.
The school district recently put the program in place for the upcoming school year.
The change requires parents to register their children online instead of the traditional paper card.
School board officials say the new online registration system is supposed to be easier and more efficient for parents.
But apparently a majority of parents still haven't registered their children for the upcoming school year online.
Officials with the school board say old problems from the last system may come up again.
"This has more to do with who makes the decision as to what school they're in and whether or not somebody can pick up the child and take them away from the school, which is a very serious matter," said Bay County School Board Attorney, Franklin Harrison.
If parents don't have access to a computer, they can go to their school to register.
