BAY COUNTY-- The owner of a St. Andrews strip club is facing charges for allegedly employing an underage dancer earlier this year.
Panama City Police arrested 77 year old Joyce Trench Cox today charging her with promotion of sexual performance by a child, employment of a minor under the age of 18 involving nudity, and tampering with a witness.
Authorities showed-up at the club on April 4th for a welfare check back in April, after receiving a tip about an underage dancer.
They say were able to determine the woman worked there, but not her age.
Investigators contact Cox and claim's she said she didn't know the dancer was only 16.
But they say they learned Cox encouraged a witness to lie to the police.
Cox is due in court tomorrow for a bond hearing.
