With budgets getting tight for a number of law enforcement agencies in our area, the Panama City Beach Police Department is hoping its annual auction will help off-set some of those cuts.
Here at the Panama City Beach impound lot, seized items were put up on the auction block. Old cop cars, 4x4 trucks, all terrain vehicles, seized vehicles, industrial sized generators, jewelry, and a variety of electronics were all included.
Proceeds from the seized vehicles from illegal activities will go to the law enforcement trust fund and the other property will go to the general revenue fund.
The department hopes bidders will help the agency in purchasing needed equipment without hurting its budget.
